Tristan's Rugby game

Imagine this: the smell of wet grass, the warm sun on your skin and boys running around like they were soldiers. I've been lucky enough to watch Tristan's first rugby game. I'm not sure what the score was but they looked like they had fun. In reading and writing, we have been looking at "making connections" by using our prior knowledge (what we know) and our past experiences.

Hosana	Wow!That looks so awesome.You know that photo reminds of this photo of my brother playing rugby.It was long time ago so I wasn’t even born yet but I just saw a photo of him playing rugby.I really feel like playing rugby right now.
Layla	That reminds me of when  I went to a big  rugby game with  my a dad and bro in wellington it was a really fun time well that was because of the hot dogs I forgot about the people who were playing I play a little bit of cricket but I’m not  that good.
Adia	Ihis reminds me when i went to see a rugbe game it was awsome.
Keelee	IT would look fun.But painful.It reminds me about that man on tv who borke his neak in a big rugby game.It would be really cool to wacth them play rugby.
Yashvi	Wow that looks hard that reminds me of the rugby game I went to watch on 2012 with my uncle and my cousins.I don’t really remember who was playing.On that day it was raining badly.I had fun.yed
Avara	The crash the smash it sounds like.Pass it pass it you could bearly hear from the crowd.That sounds like my brother playing the other teams.
Tania	This reminds me of when I was watching the rugby world cup 2011 on TV. I didn’t get anything of what they were doing. It was just scoring and tackling and more scorng and more tackling.
brooke	The smashing of the boys tackling each other.Pass the ball Pass the ball!Is what you could hear.It was Tristans first game of rugby for the season.It looks like my cousins first game against pt chev.I didn’t get to wacth the game which was a shame:(

Jessica	On the day of Tristan’s game of rugby I didn't know that there was the rugby game. I feel unsafe for rugby because it has violence in it and people tackling each other.It reminds me of my family watching a rugby game on our TV.
James	Getting 6-6 is not as bad as losing.On my first rugby game my team was tie 4-4. Does your brother play rugby?
Chris	One night before the rugby world cup I watched the Blues play against a South Amarican or South African team in Eden Park.I enjoyed it.
Dylan	I youst to play socar but now Id rather play rugby , also that it looks a bit danounge too me because they takel each  other,people get hurt  and not just rugby is danouse other sports are. And a long time ago I watched the rugby agenst whales vs america I wathed it on tv,whales won.
Daniel C.	This remind me when I was playing rugby last year.I was very tired when we finish the rugby game,it made me hungry when I playing rugby.I like it when our team score a goal,it is very exiting when I was in a team.

Tu Ariki	Tristan is good at playing rugby  and i have a cousin called zane hes well allwright  tristan is just an inch above him well you know how it is later’s.
Tristan	I went to play my first rugby game . when is sore the team that we were versus said wow they are so big .  but it was a very  good game . Rugby reminds me of when I yous to play with my cousin in South Africa . I want to play rugby because it is lots of fun

Arnav	when miss laxer showed us the slideshow it reminds me of when my dad took us to watch rugby(blues vs sharks).Eventually sharks caught up with blues and they won,but I still enjoyed watching blues play.
Jonathan	It reminds me of my cousin playing rugby and he was playing for a team,I didn’t know what team it was because he didn’t tell me.But he still won for his school with his team,his team got 7-5 and the other team was big and huge but my cousin team still won.I enjoyed wujhat he said.
Wynstan	It must of be hot playing rugby.that reminds me of the frist time my mum played rugby my favourite bit when my mum scored a try. that was a great day for my mum.

Daniel s	Tristan’s game makes me remember when i played my first rugby game I was about 4 my team lost it was 5-3 my team got 3 I was captain in that game because our real captain was away that day
Kaleb	It reminds me of my cousins rugby game and the score was 9-9.And it was a good game.Heaps of tackles and thats what made it a good game. .
Maria	I went to Tristan’s game over the weekend and it was good to see him play rugby. I remember the time when I went to rugby world cup. I watched Australia versus Italy. I didn’t realise how big those rugby players were! I thought I was the coach - telling them to score a goal. Can you believe that?
