W10, T1: Visualisation and Picasso Art

This week we have been using visualisation as a reading strategy. Visualisation is imagining the story in your head like a movie. It helps us understand a story.

We also have been learning about Picasso. We have started painting our portraits using primary and secondary colours.

We have learnt that Picasso like to show his art from different perspectives or different angles. See our masterpieces below:

W4, T1: Facing our fears

We were learning to identify some of the barriers we have in our learning. Miss Laxa helped us create some Fractured Art.  First we wrote down all of the fears we have around learning.  Then we screwed up the paper. That was like saying "these barriers will not stop me from learning". After the paper was scrunched up, we used black vivid markers to outline the wrinkle lines.  Then we coloured the spaces in between.  In the we end we created something beautiful from something that started out scary.  This is one of the examples of our work.
