W4, T3: Olympic Parade

Room 12 representing Germany
Room 13 representing NZ

N.W.S. held its very own Olympic Parade last Friday.  As a class, we had to represent a country participating in the Olympics. We spent about 2 afternoons listening to people argue why we should choose their country. Some of us were very passionate.

Samoa, NZ, Australia and Germany were popular. Unfortunately, other classes chose Samoa and Australia first so we decided on NZ and Germany.

W9, T2: Tuakana/Teina window and Workshops

Check out our Tuakana/Teina window

Check out our tuakana/teina window. We wrote down one thing we can teach others and one thing we want to learn.

We have also been busy with maths, reading and writing workshops.

 Learning about number lines.
What's a decimal?!

W8, T2: Are you ready for our cultural dances?

Discussing our roles. So who is going to be the choreographer? The set designer? The set creator? The dancers? The costume designers? Who is going to organise the music?
Finding out the rules of our cultural dance and its cultural significance.
Creating sets/costumes
Practising the dance moves
Using the chromebook to help us with the dance moves.
We are going to be presenting our dances this Friday in the auditorium at 2.00  - in front of our buddies. I hope they like it!
