Converting currency

Maria	The learners found a bag of money. In each bag was: What would they choose? This is what I saw and loved: 1. Learners drawing on what they know to estimate which is the “most” eg. Nazia	I thought  60 000 indian rupees was worth the most and because when i looked at the other numbers Indian rupees was the most.Then I put that in the currency converter and i found out that i was actually wrong because
Joy	I thought  $700 British pounds would be the most,but in New Zealand money it is only $1651.68.Chinese Yuan was worth the most out of all of the different types of money from different country.I just had a guess because I thought that it would be the most.
Srija	I thought that the correct answer was 60,00 Indian rupees because $1 dollar in NZ is worth $25 rupees in India !!! WOW that will get me a great meal. Anyway, when did that in the currency convertor I was right until I found out that I was actually wrong the right answer was actually Chinese Yuan it was worth the most  out of all of them.
Cassidy	I thought that the New Zealand Currency would win as $1.500 dollars then the British pound as $700 but it turned out that the Indian Rupee won!
Anika	I thought that $700 British pounds would be the most New Zealand dollars but i was wrong but i never knew that $7000 Chinese yen would be the most because heaps of people say its really cheap in china so i don’t understand why its cheap.
Jahnae	I thought $1 500 NZ dollars was the correct answer but it was wrong the correct answer was $7000 Chinese Yuan.Why I thought $1 500 NZ dollars was correct is because it was the second smallest,since it is the second smallest it might of been the correct answer and usually the smallest number is one of the biggest numbers.
Hosana	I chose the $1 500 NZ dollars because I thought it was worth the most! But I was just estimating, I used Currency Converter to see which one was right! I was confused a lot probably because my strategy was all over the place and didn’t even make sense! I found out that Chinese Yuen came first and NZ came fifth! I guess $7000 Chinese Yen is worth the most!
Keelee	Today we learnt about Different money in different countries. I thought that Japanese Yen would win but unfortunately Chinese Yuan came first and Japanese Yen came ………..7th (P.S Japanese Yen was last)  in it I am really sad but still happy that it isn’t coming 10th or something like that.I picked Japanese Yen because I thought that it might be a lot when I first saw the answers I could pick I picked japanese yen because it might be really good.Also  when I first saw that $1 NZ dollar is like $81.54 in japanese yen and that is a lot just for $1 in NZ I was surprised for how much that was in Japanese Yen Money.
Yashvi	I estimated that the NZ dollars $1 500 was the most.I chose NZ because I know a lot about it so maybe I thought that it would be easiar.I used currency converter to help me find out.When I heard the results the Chinese yuan was worth the most and the NZ dollars came 5th I was really surprised.
Emma	i thought that the $ 1 500 NZ dollars  was worth the most but i was wrong the one that is correct is the $ 7000 chinese yuan i estimated that the $ 1 500 NZ dollars only because i know how much it is in New Zealand so i thought that it was correct up until  i found out that ius was incorrect i found it out by using a currency converter it turns out that the $ 7000 chinese yuan is worth the most
Adelaide	i thought that it was 700 british pounds and it came 2 so im happy and chinese yuan came first which is good and i chose it because it is interesting and i like british thing so i chose this one .
Jessica	I seriously thought that Japanese Yen would win but no. Instead of winning, Japanese Yen came last. Yes, last of all. The right answer was Chinese Yuan because It had about 1700 something. I didn’t expect the Chinese Yuan to come first because I thought it would come third or second or something close to the first because I thought British Pounds or Euro would win. I thought that Japanese would win because the amount of Yen that was in the bag. I heard that 1000 yen is like, a dollar. Oh my god.
Qeis	I thought that I got the question right but I didn’t  because I picked the wrong question if I just picked china I would of won.
Mayja	I thought that 1000 euro was worth the most but I was wrong. I thought that 1000 euro were going to be the highest because it had the lowest number.
Brooklyn	I estimated that 60,000 Indian Rupees were the highest because the number looked big. My estimate was wrong because it’s not worth much chinese yuan got highest amount of nz dollars. Indian Rupees got not much and came 6th and chinese yuan came 1st.
Kiedus	I estimated that 7,000 chinese yuan was the  the correct answer my estimet was right.  I got that answer  by seeing that the first number is less or the same as 7 so it looked like that would be right that is how I found my answer and that is how I won.
Sharan	I estimated $700 because i kew that a british pound converted into nz dollars equaled quite a lot of nz dollars and 700 pounds so I thought there was going to be at least $2000 NZD but my estimate was wrong mostly because i didn't know what the other currencys converted into NZD,but the currencies are always changing and i got seconed place.
Daniel W.	I had a feeling that 700 british pounds was going to have the highest amount of money but it wasn’t the highest amount it turned out to be the second highest but still i think it was a good try it is $1650.15 NZ The most was 7000 chinese yuan that = 1708.62 NZ so i think i had a good guess and i tried.
Kane	I thought that the Euro was worth the most but I think I was wrong. I thought that every 1 NZ dollar was 50 cents in Euros, but I was wrong. The most money was 7000 Chinese Yuan.
Christopher	I guessed 1500 NZD, which was the fifth largest amount of money. My way of figuring out the value was to keep the US dollars in the currency converter and keep on changing the other currency and how much it was. I thought that 1500 NZD was the most because I knew a bit about some other country's’ currency but not all the countries’ currencies.The currency can change so the answer can change too.
Dylan	I thought that 36 000 dollars were worth the same amount of the other money but it is used in a different way even if the us money is 36 000 and the other country has the same amount but it is counted in a different way for example 1 dollar is worth 32 cents and the other country dollar is worth 42 scent scents so that country has more than that country when it gets to that same amount that the other country has.
Daniel C.	I got the answer right!!!I was guessing NZ dollars but I change my mind at the last second because I figure something out.I change my mind because I  figure out 7000 chinese yuan is more that 1500 NZ dollars.Because $1NZ is worth 4.08 Chinese yuan and 1500 times 4.08 is less than 7000 chinese yuan.So I choose chinese yuan.The currency can change so the answer can change too.
Hanif	I thought that $36 000 dollars Thai Baht was worth than $60 000 dollars Indian Rupee.Some of the moneys are high and low.Some of them are not the same money.Like the Indian Rupee or The British Pound or like that.Why i chosse this $36 000 dollars of Thai baht.It is   like the money can be more or less more.Like the $60 000 dollars from Indian Rupee.The indian rupee is like the biggest number not the smallest number.
Tristan	at first I thought that british pounds will win because when I typed it in currency converter it looked liked it had the most money.but the money that came first was chinese yen.And the one that came second was british pounds and the one that came third was euros.
Luka	I thought that the 700 Pounds would be the most because I watched the news last night and the british pounds had the biggest exchange rate. I thought it was like a trick question because it looked like the lowest amount there. The Correct result was the Chinese Yuan but to me I think there is no correct answer because the exchange rate changes every 30 minutes.
Arnav	I thought that the 1000 Euro’s had the highest money currency but I soon found out that it wasn’t the Euro’s,it in fact was the Chinese Yuan.I thought that the Euro’s was the correct answer because it was the most famous one. I was disappointed but my guess still came third so YEAH.
Harvies	I was thing about 700 british pounds because my dad watched it and tode me.
Bhaviik	I was thinking that the 1000 Euros were going to be the biggest amount of money the would be but I checked against the some of the other countries but I was wrong,but at the end we came third so im still happy. P.S the amount changes so some day I could win Looking forward to that :
Kaleb	When the question came across my terrible listening ears I had a setback to 3 news,I was watching 3 news and they had something about pounds so chose pounds plus my mum said don’t second guess.Our guess came second but predicted my result would be highly rated
