W5, T2: Assembly

Last week we were on assembly. For assembly we have been learning to give everything a go even though we are afraid to make a mistake or if something is too difficult.

We have also been learning to set goals and create a plan to achieve it.

T2, W4: Assembly

Room 11, Room 12, Room 13 and Room 16 were on assembly. Our teachers are very proud of the way we directed the assembly. We controlled the crowd, problem solved any ICT issues and took on leadership roles.

A special shout out to our ICT monitors Daniel and Kush. Mrs. Leung was very impressed.

W11, T1: Goodbye Mrs. Rogers

Can you spot Room 12's quilt piece?

Today we said our goodbyes to Mrs. Rogers. The Y5s hosted the assembly and presented her with gifts like this quilt. The quilt pieces were made by everyone at school.

Thank you Mrs. Rogers for all your hard work!

Assembly

We have been looking at increasing our fitness. We decided to give tips on how to do well in cross country.

Thanks to our ICT monitors for making the computer-thingy work!

Assembly

Last Friday, we had our school assembly. This was our presentation:
Our goal is to be an active learner. We found this hard and we (and our teacher) realise we can’t magically be active learners overnight. In Room 12 we have been exploring about what it means to be an active learner.Part of being an active learner is asking ourselves hard questions about how we learn. Like Room 11, we looked at what stops us from learning. We used lego movie app and took photos to show you what stops us from learning. We can use this to help us learn better and our teacher can use this in her planning. Watch our "movie" below:
